Trained academic art historian
Hello! I am happy to hear that you are interested in art history. When studying for the AP Art History exam, and for survey art history exams in college, I often used https://smarthistory.org/. I think that nowadays, there are many YouTube video lectures on topics as well that may help give a quick overview of a particular topic. These are great for understanding overall topics and concepts.
However, another great resource is freerice - https://freerice.com/categories - this website tests you on a variety of topics all while giving back and contributing to a good cause.
The best way to prepare for an art-historical exam is to make flashcards and test yourself. I recommend searching through Quizlet to see what may fit for what you're studying, or taking the time to make your own on this site! https://quizlet.com/topic/arts-and-humanities/art-history/
Conversely, you can prepare flashcards that you can print out through PowerPoint or Google Slides.
Another very rote method is to write in a notebook you do not care about the information over and over (artwork title, artist name, date, dimensions, medium, dimensions) until you have this memorized. I suggest a combination of this method, online testing, and creating your own study guide. Anything that you write yourself will help you memorize more effectively.
Good luck!
