The best way to learn to write is to read good prose. Examples of good prose are found in magazines such as "The New Yorker," "The Atlantic" and "Harper's". Those are just three that use good, professional English prose. Try a subscription to one either online or in print.
Also, buy "The Elements of Style" and read it 3 time per year after you have nearly memorized it. It is a short book so that advice is feasible.
Then, write, write, write, all the while applying what you learned in the style book above.
