I wouldn’t recommend using a valediction without the break after the comma. When you write it as one line, even in the context of a farewell, the recipient will instinctually read “Sincerely yours, John Snow” as a full sentence, if only for a split second.
Breaking after the comma is just good etiquette for official letters and emails.
