Honestly it depends on what message you want to get out.
Are you trying to say her emotions are taking a toll? You can say emotions are toiling inside of her. if you want to say she has conflicting emotions you can use a simile or metaphor Her emotions are like a see-saw teetering between anger and excitement. The point is that whichever description you use needs to add clarity to what you are trying to get it
