Graph each inequality onto the same Cartesian Coordinate axes. Where the inequality shadings overlap is the solution. Do so by...
- Replacing the inequality sign with an equals sign and graphing the line of that equation.
- Plug the coordinates of the origin (0,0) into the original inequality. If that makes the inequality true, shade the portion of the system on the origin's side. If not, shade the side of the system opposite the origin (the other side of the line).
Again, where the two shadings overlap is the graphical solution to the system of inequalities.
