Hi All,
I'm putting together a documentary about rituals in our lives that we tend not to look at as ritual but have similar components and social function to what would classically be viewed as ritual.
So far I've got Rave culture and BDSM play but would like to have a few more. Does anyone have any suggestions of other rituals that might fit into this category?

There are so many rituals in everyday life that it's hard to imagine anyone going a whole day without engaging in them. Easy examples are the 9-5 workday and the sleep schedule centered around it and eating three meals a day. Sports are all incredibly ritualistic. Grilling is often ritualistic in the United States. Theater culture is highly ritualistic. Gyms are ritual spaces. For your documentary I would advise you to focus on rituals you're familiar with.
