Can I change gaussian blur radius during FS on already applied areas?

I'm trying to master retouch technique `Frequency Separation`, I applied `Gaussian Blur` radius 10 but now I see that it's toomuch for my image, when I change it to lower number it's not affecting on already applied areas. Is there any way to do this?

Blurs and most other things in photoshop are considered destructive and arent able to be altered once done, unless it is a smart object or filter. for your situation, convert the layer you want to blur into a smart object, then apply your blur and it will instead be a smart filter under your layer with a mask. you can then selectively vary the blurs coverage and strength
