Physical (or biological, or evolutionary) anthropology is a scientific discipline that deals with the mechanisms of biological evolution, genetic inheritance, the physical adaptation of human beings and the fossil remains of such evolution; the aim is therefore the study of man, his natural history with its biological and natural aspects. It is often closely correlated with archeology through taphonomic anthropology, the science that studies all the processes that affect a body from the moment of death to its discovery.
