How does one use ارزیدن properly?

Would I be correct in saying آن پنج هزار تومان می ارز As in, is that the proper present tense conjugation? Google Translate is giving me odd results, saying that the proper way to say such a phrase in the present tense would be آن پنج هزار تومان ارزید Even though that uses the past tense stem.

Mostly we talk about the value of something in present tense using the present stem of " ارزیدن" which is " ارز " and put " می " at the beginning of it and add the verb id " ـَ د " at the end; " می ارزَد "

For example: این مِداد 10 دلار می ارزد.

( This pencil is worth 10 dollars.)

Also, we can talk about the value of something in the past tense.

For example the value of your first car or your old house etc.

In this case we use the past stem of " ارزیدن" which is " ارزید " , then add " می " at the beginning of it. That's it. Now use it in the sentence as follows:

ده سال پیش، آن خانه دو میلیون دلار می ارزید

( Ten years ago, that house was worth 2,000,000 dollars.)

ارزیدن is an infinitive form of "worth" or the "value of something". To conjugate this infinitive you need the present stem of it first, which is "ارز" you then add a " می " before the present stem and lastly, add the verb ending. So to say that something is worth a certain amount of money, one would say it like this in Persian: می
