Were there any cultures throughout history where homosexual relationships between adults was accepted, as opposed to just pederasty?

You often hear about times and places such as Ancient Greece or Tokugawa Japan being tolerant of homosexuality, but closer inspection usually reveals that the only same-sex relationships that were tolerated were between grown men and adolescent boys. Relationships between two adult men are usually tabooed, and lesbians tended to be ignored entirely. Were there any pre-modern cultures that were an exception to this trend - where relationships between adults of the same sex were accepted, or at least tolerated? With the usual caveats about how modern concepts of homosexual identity can't be projected back onto the past and so on.
