Presentation about a complex problem for a Second-Stage Job Interview?

I will soon be attending a second stage job interview with an IT firm specializing in security systems and financial fraud prevention.I have been asked to prepare a 20 minute presentation regarding a "complex problem" about any subject I wished. What I am considering is if it would be a good idea to write a presentation about my Masters Work (I am currently in my final year). The research is mostly about wireless network performance and my contributions to the field.I have done previous coding work in work placements before but I do not feel any of my previous projects could carry for 20 minutes. I would like to know if this sounds like a good idea or would the company prefer something closer to home, even if they said it could be about anything?

Thanks for the question. I feel you should create a presentation that focuses on how you can help this new organization. How has your past work in coding going to be a benefit to this new organization?

All these things that you have accomplished are great and meaningful, but at the end of the day, this interview is not about you, but about how you can help this organization be successful.

How about doing a presentation about security systems/financial fraud protection, since that is the specialty area of this IT firm?

If you have this knowledge base, or can easily research or identify related topics, that's a possibility.

Another idea is to thoroughly research the company you're interviewing with, if you haven't already. Look at their website, for instance. Your presentation could focus on why your skill set would complement their work and/or corporate objectives. Do they have any thought leader blogs on their site? Look at that sort of information and "connect the dots" - how your interests/skills would align with the company's purpose/s and mission.
