How do I correct white balance in JPEG images?

A friend of mine accidentally shot a load of photos with the white-balance on his camera set to "Tungsten". Is there an easy way to correct the resultant colour cast with Photoshop?

Both Photoshop and Lightroom has tool for correcting White Balance. For Lightroom in the basic panel is an Eye dropper tool which you use to click on an area that shoud be a middle grey. From there minor adjustments with the color sliders then selection of the other images to sync the corrections.

With Photoshop Curves adjustment has 3 Eye Droppers for White / Middle Grey / Black. With clicking on these 3 areas will correct the image. Be sure to adjust the sample area to 11 by 11 for a better sample. Then you can copy this adjustment to the other images.

Try adjusting the red/blue balance in Photoshop, but not the green channel. Best of luck!

You may be better off using Adobe Bridge to fix. If they are all shot in the same lightning, then you can batch edit all the photos at once.
