5/24 * N votes for Green.

So 5/8* N = 15/24* N votes for Blue

5/24 * N votes for Green

48 vote for Red.

That is (24-15-5)/24 = 4/24 = 1/6 voting for Red.

1/6 * N = 48

N = 48*6 = 288

So there are 288 students in the school who voted.

(5/8)(288) = 180 voted for BLUE

(5/9)(3/8)(288) = 60 voted for GREEN

48 voted for RED

The total is indeed 288.
