So, we must find the possible lengths of each side such that there are 6 sides to a hexagon so the perimeter is 6s. If the perimeter is at most 42 inches, then
6s ≤ 42.......We then divide 6 to both sides such that
s ≤ 7 inches
Therefore, each side must be at most 7 inches in length.
