The first step in completing this multiplication problem is to line up both the number of shirts and the price per shirt. Notice it is always easier to place the number with a zero in it beneath the first number.
Second, multiply the zero by 6 in this problem which equals 0. Next, multiply the zero by 5 which equals zero. Next go to the tens part of your number. Multiply the 2 by 6 which equals 12. Once doing that, you must place the one on top of the five so when you multiply the 2 by the 5 you will then add 1 to that answer which is 11.
