Length = 8

We can set up a quadratic to find the dimensions

Area = Length x Width = L X W

L = 2W - 5

52 = W(2W - 5)

52 = 2W² - 5W

0 = 2W² - 5W - 52

This can be factored

(2W - 13)(W + 4) = 0

W cannot be negative

So

W = 13/2

L = 2(13/2) - 5

L = 13 - 5

L = 8

Checking

52 = 13/2 * 8

52 = 13 * 4

52 = 52
