To find the number of each type of box, multply 28 x 50%. In decimal form, 50% is 0.50.

28 x .5 = 14.

14 boxes have 10 pieces. 14 x 10 = 140

14 boxes have 15 pieces. 14 x 15 = 210

Add 140 + 210 to get the total number of pieces.
