Area = Length * Width

202 = 2L + 2W

202 = 2(W + 9) + 2W by substitution

202 = 2W + 18 + 2W by distributive property

202 = 4W + 18 combine like terms

-18 -18 subtract 18 on both sides

184 = 4W divide 4 on both sides

w = 46

Since Length = Width + 9

Length = 46 + 9
