Alrighty, Wiktoria, this isn't as hard as it seems, I promise.

 

How much is 1/2 five times?  5 x 1/2 = 5/2 = 2 1/2

 

5 + 2 1/2 = 7 1/2

 

How much is 3/4 four times?  3/4 x 4 = 3

 

7 1/2 - 3 = 4 1/2
