If six people can do a job in four hours, how long should it take for three people to do the same job?

I’m just very confused at this question, and what to do with it. I have a big maths internal assessment tomorrow so someone please help me quick!

if 6 do it in 4 hours

3 do it in twice as long = 2x4 = 8 hours

number of workers times hours = a constant = 24

6x4 =24

3x8 = 24
