If we could find the equation of the line that is perpendicular to the original line, then we could plug 5 in for x to find the corresponding y value ("n" in this problem).
First find the slope of the original line. The line perpendicular will have a slope that is the negative/opposite reciprocal.
Then use that slope along with (-3,-9) to write the equation of that line (point-slope).
