Hello Geison,
You find yourself in a precariously odd situation, in that if you procrastinated with this assignment a lower grade is imminent. Let's face it: We as humans do not possess infallibility, but our professors surely act as they do often, especially when assignments are due. I am convinced however, if you approach the assignment with a level of doggedness, your professor may just find him or herself in a precariously odd situation caused by cognitive dissonance, where on the one hand he or she wants to give you credit for the work you have done, or at minimum reward you for your efforts., At all costs, keep the syllabus from the instructor, as you would not want that syllabus to have your instructor reiterated on deadlines.
I hope this assists you and wish you a great weekend. If you wish to provide feedback to this question, please feel free to do so directly in the comment section.
