finding the inverse functions?

Question

Part A: If f is one-to-one and f(6)=9, then f^−1(9)= ??? and (f(6))^−1= ???

Part B: If g is one-to-one and g(7)=11, then g^−1(11) = ??? and (g(7))^−1 = ???

 

Not really sure how to do this; please explain how you arrived at the answers.

Part A: Original one to one function: f(6)=9 ---> for inverse function: f(9) = 6;

(f(6))^-1=1/(f(6))=1/9

Part B is similar to part A.
