Warren can run 80 yards in 10 seconds. Mark can run the same distance in 15 seconds. If Mark is 10 yards ahead of Warren when they both start running, how long does it take for Warren to catch Mark?

so,

 

10 + (80/15)t = (80/10)t

 

10 =(80/10)t - (80/15)t

 

10 = (8/3)t

 

t = 3.75 seconds
