First of all, it should say "la rata", not "el rata", unless you meant to say "el raton".

 

If you really meant "rata" (with "la" instead of "el") then the translation is 

 

The cat ate the rat. 

 

If you meant "raton" then the translation is 

 

The cat ate the mouse.
