I don' think this is solvable as stated. Example:let 10 taxis use 90 gal in 3 days. So, each taxi uses 3 gal/day. Therefore, 4 taxis using 3 gal/day each times 8 days = 96 gallons. BUT, what if ,for example, there were 100 taxis? Then 100 taxis using 90 gallons in 3 days, each taxi uses only .3 gal/day. So 4 taxis times .3 gal/day each x 8 days = 9.60 gal.
In general, for two variables you need to be able to write two equations.
