ax^2 + bx + c = 0
The x-intercepts can be found using the formula:
x = [-b ± √(b2 - 4ac)] = -5 ± 0 = -5

1. you get one answer (like here). this means there is only 1 x-intercept
2. you get a ± in your answer, meaning there are 2 x-intercepts
3. you get √(negative #), meaning there are no x-intercepts because the answer is imaginary.
