Is it possible to self-teach Spanish and be like native?

You need to converse with native speakers.  It will improve your communication but mainly the accent.  Most English speakers have a very thick accent (poor accent) when they first start out.  To solve that problem you must practice a lot, not just the words and verbs, the accent.  ;)

Absolutely. You can teach yourself the language and be very fluent. It’s important to know and understand the basics of the language first. Then, once you are at a pretty decent understanding, I would highly recommend watching spanish movies with subtitles to help you really understand and identify the language when heard. Also, if you can practice In public by simply starting a conversation with a Spanish speaking person, you’d be surprised where that practice can get you. Good luck.

You can definitely study on your own through a variety of media: textbooks, videos, apps, CDs, etc. 

If by "native," you mean "speak like a native," that would require practice with other people, to develop both aural (listening) and oral (speaking) abilities.

So many great ideas in this thread! But don't forget that it's extremely important to simply listen. Think about how you learned your own language as a baby: you listened for a year or so to the adults around you. Sometimes they repeated themselves quite a bit, probably along the lines of "You're the cutest baby. You're the best baby. Who's the most beautiful baby in the whole wide world?" You were relaxed and happy, just soaking it in. Then after a year or so, you began to talk. There are many paths to fluency and we're living in a golden age for learning languages, but don't underestimate the power of listening. ¡Te deseo mucha suerte!

Apps, book, and the internet are great ways for learning vocabulary, grammar structures, reading, reading comprehension, writing, and for spelling, but in order to become fluent you still need the conversational aspect and the exchange with a formal tutor or teacher or with Spanish speaking individuals.

I think you can become very proficient that way, but it will require a lot of effort and time and still you will have an accent. The best way is studying hard and be exposed to other Spanish speakers and their culture as much as possible, the ideal should be an immersion experience for a long period with no other English speakers around

If you are good at having conversations with yourself, it may be possible.  Just for fun, I recommend having someone else on the other end of the conversation.
