I second what Kimberly said! I would also add that changing the language settings in your email, social media, phone, Web browser, and anything else that you use on a daily basis will dramatically increase your vocabulary! It might sound extreme or scary at first, but you will soon realize that you already know how to navigate these devices/applciations in English from such constant use; not only that, but you can navigate without actually reading the toolbars or options that appear (it's that whole muscle memory thing). Therefore, when you change the language to Spanish, you will find that you can still manage, and this is essentially a way of immersing your brain in your target language. Immersion means constant interaction, or constant contact with your target language. Truly, the best way to acquire a second language is by face-to-face immersion with native speakers, BUT if that's not an immediate option for you, do the next best thing! Immerse your brain by reaching for anything you can that's in the Spanish language. In order to keep yourself motivated and engaged, I highly recommend you find music or activities that you already enjoy, but in Spanish. Where there's a will, there's a way! Be patient with yourself, know that it's a process, and be willing to stay the course and know that you WILL reach a breakthrough, even when you think you won't.
