Need help with this problem. The solution of this system of equations

y = x + 8
y = - 12/x

 

x + 8 = -12/x

x(x+8) = -12

x² + 8x = -12

x² + 8x + 12 = 0

(x+6)(x+2) = 0

 

x = -6, x = -2
