Word problem help please!

Question

A woman bought some large frames for $10 each and some small frames for $5 each at a closeout sale. If she bought 21 frames for $145, find how many of each type she bought.

Let x = the number of small frames that the woman bought

Let y = the number of large frames that the woman bought

x + y = 21      x = 21 - y        

5x + 10y = 145

5(21 - y) = 145

105 - 5y = 145

-5y = 40

y = -8      Obviously, she can't buy -8 frames. Are you sure you have all of the numbers right?
