asked 04/20/18Help Please. I am stuck
Can you please tell me which equation is a polynomial. There is more than 1.
x4+x^3 √7+2x^2−3√/2x+π
x4+5/x3−√x+8
x3−4x−3
|x|2+4x√−2−x5+7x−12x2+9
4/x2−4x+3
Thank you, I really appreciate it.

A polynomial is not required to be an equation. No equal sign is needed to define what makes a polynomial.
A polynomial can have constants, variables and exponents,
but never division by a variable (i.e. variables with negative exponents).
but never division by a variable (i.e. variables with negative exponents).
All exponents must be in the {0, 1, 2, 3, ....}
No dividing by variables, no fractional exponents..
x3 - 4x - 3 IS a polynomial
Can you retype that first one: x4+x^3 √7+2x^2−3√/2x+π
It looks like you may have a variable in a denominator in −3√/2x
but there is a typo of some sort there.
The others are definitely NOT polynomials because there are
fractional exponents such as √x which is x1/2 , variables in denominator,
and, also |x| is not allowed.

Note: A constant such as "2" by itself IS a polynomial
2 = 2x0
3/x is not a polynomial because it has a variable with a negative exponent:
3/x = 3x-1
