So, they would have walked the same amount of time by noon, but closer to B than A, because walker 1 is walking faster.
Since the two ending times are 5 hours apart, they each started 5 hours before noon, or 7:00 am.

Once I get to a pencil and paper, I'll work on it. It has to do with the fact that when meeting at noon, they together had travrled the entire distance. The walker from A walked the portion B had walked by noon in 4 hours, and the B took 9 hours to walk the distance A had walked by noon. I'll throw thr numbers together, but maybe you can, too!
