Let's put these in terms of pounds, which is probably more familiar.
454 g = 1 lb
300 g x 1 lb/454 g = 0.66 lbs
300 mg x 1 g/1000 mg x 1 lb/454 g = 0.00066 lbs
34 kg x 1000 g/kg x 1 lb/454 g = 74.8 lbs
It seems that a can of soup would be closer to about 0.67 lbs, so it would most likely be 300 g
