You want to use the order of operations in order to simplify this down, so that would mean starting by distributing the term outside of the parentheses to the inside terms
4(m + n) + 3(2m – 5n)
=4m + 4n + 6m – 15n
From there then you want to combine like terms to simplify as much as possible
=(4m + 6m) + (4n – 15n)
=10m – 11n
