4 + 3x = 2y; (2, -5)
4 + 3(2) = 2(-5)
4 + 6 = -10
10 = -10
No it is not a solution.
If the point was (2, 5) we would get 10=10
so (2,5) is a solution but (2,-5) is NOT.
Your book, teacher, or whatever is incorrect.
