Ratios in mm and m

Question

i have a field of 100m length and 3.5m width
lets make a ratio
100m/3.5m = 28.5714285714 meters
now we will convert metres to mm 100 metres would be equal to 100000mm and 3.5 m equals to 3500mm
100000mm/ 3500mm = 28.5714285714 mm

Both answers are same which one is correct did i do any mistake

100m/3.5m = 28.5714285714

 

If you increase the numerator and denominator by the same factor

you do not change the actual value

 

Given x/y:

(x/y)(1000/1000) = 1000x/1000y = x/y

 

(100/3.5)(1000/1000) = 100/3.5 = 28.5714285714 

The answer should be the same.  There is no error

 

The ratio remains as 28.5714285714 to 1
