4x+y=24
Since the problem states to solve by substitution, solve for y in the
second equation and substitute into the first.
y = 24 - 4x
2x - 3(24-4x) = -2
2x - 72 + 12x = -2
14x - 72 = -2
14x = 70
x = 70/14
x = 5
From there replace x with 5 in either of the original equations
and solve for y
