Hi Daniel, let x represent the mulch that sold for $3.50 a bag and y represent the other mulch type. Set up two equations and solve.
Equation 1, number of bags sold:
x + y = 176
Equation 2, total cost:
3.50 * x + 2.75 * y = 520
Equations to solve:
x + y = 176
3.50x + 2.75y = 520

I suggest you use elimination, but substitution could also be used to solve the system.
