Piecewise Functions Domain

Find the domain of the function. Enter your answer in interval notation.
 
f(x) = { x+3 if x<-1, -2x if |x| is less than or equal to 1, -2 if x>1

Look at the domains for each piece:
 
x < -1  =  (-∞, -1)
 
|x| ≤ 1 = [-1, 1]
 
x > 1 = (1, ∞)
 
Put those together and we have (-∞, ∞)
