1) Log64+Log69 = log(64*69)

log(4416) = 4 (rounded to the nearest integer)

 

2) Log3P=6

    Log3Q=7

    Log3(P/Q) = Log3P - Log3Q

                    = 6 - 7

                    = -1

 

3) i) 4x+2=14

       4x = 12

        x = 3

 

  ii)Log4(2)+Log4(5x)= 1/2

     Log4(2) + Log4(5x) = Log4(2*5x)

                                  = Log4(10x)

  Log4(10x) = 1/2

  4^(1/2) = 10x

   2 = 10x

   x = 0.2
