What is my final grade

Question

If my teacher says our tests are 95% of the total class grade and I have an 88%
and our decision boards are 5% of the grade where I received 100%

what will my final grade be in the class?

95%*88%=0.95*88=83.6

5%*100%=0.05*100=5

83.6+5=88.6% is your grade

 

look at it this way also...

there are 19 5%'s in 95%, so you have 19 88's

you also have 1 5% worth 100%, so you have 1 100

19*88=1672

1*100=100

1672+100=1772

1772/20=88.6%
