M = molarity = moles/liter
(1)
M = (0.550 moles)/(2.35 L) = ? moles/L
(2)
Look up the atomic weights of Na and Cl in grams per mole, and add them to get the molecular weight of NaCl. Divide 10.9 g of NaCl by the molecular weight of NaCl. That gives the number of moles of NaCl. Divide the number of moles of NaCl by the volume, which is 887 x 10-3 L. That gives the molarity.
