Algebra 1 Inequality Word Problem

Question

You earn $250 per month from your part-time job. You are in a kayaking club that costs $20 per month, and you save at least $100 each month. Find the possible amounts you have left to spend each month.

 

This is a problem on one of my worksheets, and I’m very confused. I’m supposed to come up with an inequality and solve for x. Someone please help!!

Leaving out the "at least:"

x = $250 - $20 - $100

Yet some month you might save more than $100.

x ≤ 250 - 20 - 100
