 well its a question i need to anwsser and i do not get your question and my feedback is that it is bad aand not helpful at all to my science homework.

When a person computes an area, a formula such as A = LW is used, with Length & Width measurements being in some kind of units, such as inches.  Then you get an area number of SQUARE INCHES (in²).

 

For volumes, you get CUBIC inches (or cubic ft, etc.)
