How do find the equation of the parabola given the vertex, and both x intercepts?

I am trying to find a equation that would graph a parabola given the vertex and both x intercepts. Can you please help?

y = a(x-h)² + k is the equation of the quadratic function (upward/downward-opening parabola) having V(h,k).

 

Substitute for x (using coordinate of a given x-intercept & y=0) to get an equation that you can solve for a, since you are given h & k.
