My mom is 85 and I'm 58. 85 backwards is 58. What's the odds of that happening when both are still living?

Need to know the odds when both are living

Your mom is 27 years older than you, which is a fairly common age difference between mother and child.  For any mom who had a child when she was 27, the odds the child being 58 when she is 85 (if both live) is 100%.

On the other hand, if we counted in octal, you mom'd be 125 and you'd be 72.  So don't put much stock on the numerological coincidences.
