Jim S. is right. I will assume that you meant y=-2x+14 & y=1.5x-0.4 and wanted to find the intersection of these two lines. -2x+14=1.5x-.4 gives that 3.5x=14.4 or that x=14.4/3.5=4 8/70
Substituting this into y=-1.5x-.4 gives that y=-1.5(288/70)-.4=460/7=6 4/7
