Explain how do you find the inverse of a point.

For example, what is the inverse of (0,2) and (-6,0).

The idea of inverse means that the values of x, the first coordinate, and y, the second coordinate, are reversed.

 

Therefore, the inverse of (0, 2) becomes ??   ..... (2, 0).

 

So the inverse of (-6, 0) is??

 

If you said (0, -6), you are right.  Remember, all you are doing is letting x = y and y = x.
