x = 30
So, the dilution ratio is 1:30 or 30 ml qs 100 ml = 1:3.3333..... Dilution are confusing unless one knows what the ratio is in reference to. So 1:30 could mean 1 ml to a final vol of 30 ml or it could mean 1 ml + 29 ml. That is why qs may be preferred.
